1. Who we are

Linx Render is the data controller responsible for any personal information you provide via this website (johnplastering.com) or any other communication channel. We are a UK rendering, plastering and external wall insulation business covering London and the Home Counties.

2. What information we collect

When you contact us via the quote form, by phone, by email, or via WhatsApp, we may collect:

• Your name
• Email address
• Phone number
• The property address or postcode where work is being considered
• Information about the project (type of work, size, photos you share)
• Any other information you choose to provide

We do not collect special category data (health information, ethnicity, religious beliefs, etc.) and we don't ask for it.

Website analytics and advertising

This website may use basic analytics to understand how visitors find and use the site. Analytics data is anonymous and aggregated — we cannot identify individual visitors from it.

If you accept cookies via our cookie banner, we also load the Meta Pixel (provided by Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd). It records that you visited pages on this site so we can measure and target our Facebook and Instagram advertising. Meta may match this activity to your Facebook or Instagram account and acts as an independent controller for that processing. The pixel does not load unless you click “Accept”, and you can withdraw consent at any time by clearing this site's cookies in your browser. 3. How we use your information

We use your personal information only to:

• Respond to your enquiry and provide a quote
• Carry out the work you've commissioned
• Provide ongoing customer service, including guarantee claims
• Comply with legal obligations (tax records, etc.)

We do not use your information for marketing to third parties, sell your data, or share it with anyone who isn't directly involved in delivering your project.

4. Who we share your information with

We may share your information with:

• Subcontractors (e.g. scaffolding suppliers) where they need to access your property to do their part of the work
• Approved retrofit assessors if you're applying for ECO4 or GBIS grant funding
• HMRC and other regulatory bodies where legally required
• Our insurance provider in the event of a claim under the public liability policy or 10-year workmanship guarantee

We never share your information with marketing companies, lead-generation services, or any other commercial third party.

5. How long we keep your information

We keep enquiry and quote information for up to 12 months from the last contact. For completed projects, we keep job records for at least 10 years to honour the workmanship guarantee, and up to 7 years beyond that for tax and accounting purposes (HMRC requirement).

6. Your rights under UK GDPR

You have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Correct any inaccurate information
• Delete your data (where there's no overriding legal reason to keep it)
• Restrict how we process your data
• Object to processing on specific grounds
• Data portability — receive your data in a transferable format

7. Cookies

This website sets a small number of strictly necessary cookies to make the site work, plus one cookie that remembers your choice on our cookie banner. These do not require consent.

If you click “Decline non-essential”, or simply ignore the banner, the Meta Pixel is never loaded. We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. The contact form on this website submits data via Formspree (a trusted form-processing service), which is encrypted in transit (HTTPS).
