Website terms of use and the general basis on which we provide quotations and deliver render, plastering and EWI work. Specific contract terms for individual projects are set out in our written quotes.
This website (johnplastering.com) is operated by Linx Render. By accessing or using this site, you agree to these terms of use.
We make every effort to ensure information on this site is accurate and up-to-date, including pricing, technical specifications, and BBA certification details. However, render systems and prices change, and we cannot guarantee that all information is current at the moment you view it. For accurate pricing on a specific project, always request a written quote.
Cost calculator results are indicative estimates only. Final pricing depends on site visit findings, exact specification, detailing, and factors that can only be confirmed by direct survey.
All content on this website — text, images, design, code — is owned by Linx Render or used with permission. You may view and share links to our pages, but you may not copy, reproduce, or republish substantial content without written permission.
Project photographs on our case studies are of work we have completed and are our property.
We link to manufacturer websites (K-Rend, Weber, Sika, Sto, PRB, Wetherby) for technical datasheets and BBA certificates. We don't control those websites and aren't responsible for their content. Manufacturer specifications and BBA certificates may be updated by the manufacturers without notice.
All quotes are based on the information available at the time of the site visit. We provide written quotes with itemised scope of works and clear assumptions. Quotes are typically valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.
We reserve the right to revise quotations if site conditions are materially different to those visible at survey (for example, hidden substrate defects discovered when existing render is removed).
A contract is formed when you accept our written quotation in writing (signed quote, email confirmation, or similar). The quote, accompanying scope of works, and these terms form the basis of the contract. For commercial work, project-specific terms may be agreed in addition.
Payment terms are set out in each individual quote. Typical terms for residential work are: deposit on contract, interim payments as work progresses, balance on completion. For commercial work, payment terms typically follow JCT or NEC standard forms or as separately agreed.
Late payment may attract interest under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998 where applicable.
We install manufacturer-approved render and EWI systems exactly as specified. We don't substitute products without your written agreement. If a specified product becomes unavailable, we'll propose the closest equivalent and obtain your approval before proceeding.
For the manufacturer warranty and BBA certification to remain valid, products must be installed by approved applicators — which is why we hold approved-applicator status with all six manufacturers we install.
We provide a 10-year insurance-backed workmanship guarantee on external render and EWI installations. The guarantee covers defects arising from our workmanship. The manufacturer's product warranty applies separately to the materials themselves.
The guarantee does not cover damage caused by structural movement, third-party damage, lack of maintenance, weathering, or unauthorised modifications to the installation.
We carry £1 million public liability insurance on every project. Documentation is provided on request. The insurance covers third-party injury and property damage arising from our work.
Changes to the agreed scope of works must be agreed in writing. We provide written variations setting out the change, cost implications, and any programme effect. Variations are billed in addition to the original contract sum.
For residential consumers, the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 may provide a 14-day cancellation right depending on how the contract was formed. If you wish to cancel within this period, please notify us in writing as soon as possible.
Where you've expressly requested work begin within the 14-day period and work has commenced, you may be liable for costs incurred up to the cancellation date.
We aim to resolve any concerns quickly and fairly. Please raise complaints first with Ioan Ghertan (Managing Director) by email at info@linxrender.co.uk or by phone on +44 7703 982701.
